Wednesday Luncheon

Each week we host a Wednesday Luncheon featuring delicious food and interesting speakers. Talks cover a wide range of subjects of nautical and community interest. Additionally in the tradition of the club our Wednesday luncheon is open to the public. This is a great opportunity for not-yet-members to get acquainted with the club, meet other members and have a wonderful day on the marina.

The white table cloth luncheons feature an artfully presented three-course lunch followed by a thirty to forty minute presentation. The topics can include anything of broad interest to the yachting community. Recent speakers covered members’ travels and cruises, Catalina developments and the design of America’s Cup boats.

Reservations are encouraged, so if you plan to join us please call the club office at (310) 831-1203 to confirm your attendance. The Luncheon starts at noon and wraps up about 1:30. Lunch is $20 plus tax and visitors may pay by cash or credit card at the club.

Every week at the LAYC we host our Wednesday Luncheon. We always have amazing speaking on a wide range of subjects. Additionally in the tradition of the club our Wednesday luncheon is open to the public.   • Soup

  • Roasted Tomato Bisque

    Spanish onions, carrots, celery, minced garlic, fresh thyme, sautéed together and then submerged with roasted tomatoes, and vegetable stock. Pureed together to thicken. Garnished with crutons.
     

  • Entree

  • Chili Rubbed Chicken

    Chili powder, paprika, onion powder, seasoned chicken breast, oven roasted, and then sliced. Placed on a bed of cooked quinoa with mixed field greens, romaine, cherry tomatoes, and cotija cheese. Served with lemon dijon dressing.
