Wednesday Luncheon With Rich Abele: Museum Battleship USS Iowa (BB-61)

Captain Rich Abele served two tours in Vietnam and commanded two mine hunters. He also served as a contracts manager on the B-1B bomber and C-17 cargo aircraft programs for The Boeing Company. He now spends much of his time volunteering aboard the museum battleship USS IOWA, and will share his knowledge of its construction, deployment in the Atlantic, and engagements in the South Pacific during WWII, Korean Conflict, and Cold War. He will also provide useful information about visiting and supporting the ship.
