TREASURE HUNT 2010
v Festivities will start in the cove on Saturday August 7th at 14:00 with the Kids Treasure Hunt for kids under 12 followed by breaking open the Kids Treasure Chest (a Piñata full of goodies).
v At 17:00 we will set up for dinner with an Ouzo drink contest (the Ouzo will be provided). So look up a fun recipe where Appearance, Taste and Originality are Key.
v Dinner will be a Grecian feast of Mediterranean spiced Chicken, Spanakopita (Spinach & Cheese Pie), Couscous with vegetables, Tzatziki, grilled eggplant w/garlic, & Hummus w/Pita bread. Following tradition, participants are asked to bring side dishes. Dish suggestions are posted on our website www.LAYC.org See menu page for details ($16 for Adults, and $12 For kids under 18)
v After dinner is the 2010 Treasure Hunt IRON CHEF DESSERT CONTEST hosted by the Ripley’s. The Kids will be the judges of both the Overall category and a Kids entry category. So Bake up, Fry up, or Simply Stir up Your favorite Sweet concoction with some to share.
v At 08:00 on Sunday, A Hearty and Hot breakfast of fruit and eggs, juice and Bloody Mary's will be served in the cove.
v The FAMOUS LAYC TREASURE HUNT WILL begin at 09:00 AT THE PALAPA. Bring a hand bearing compass, a gps, running shoes, a #2 pencil, a calculator, a kitchen sink and a bottle of Mt. Gay Rum (you can leave out the kitchen sink but not the rum). (hint: Treasure Hunt advantages will be given out for the Saturday evening contests)
RSVP the date is set: (The cost of the hunt is $30 for a boatload of 2, $55 for a boat load of 3 or more -includes breakfast)
