To all LAYC members and guests:
*****UPDATE APRIL 25th 2009 ******

Last night , the PCAC sub-committee on China Shipping mitigation aesthetic funding recommended funding for the lighthouse restoration to the tune of $1.8 – 1.2MM. The restoration will be done by the USCG.  A lot of help from the Cabrillo Beach boosters and Wilmington (San Pedro said no believe it or not).  Barbara Wallace, Trudy Park and the  LA Yacht Club’s "Friends of Angels Gate Lighthouse" are to be commended!!!!    It still has to be approved by the full Port Community Advisory Council but we’re 90% there.

I support the proposal below with full understanding of its intent and purpose to save and restore ANGLES GATE LIGHTHOUSE with funding from the Port’s Aesthetic Mitigation Fund - as proposed dated SEPTEMBER 22, 2008
