September 1 – Randy Boelsems of Quickline USA.
Randy will give a presentation of the development of the different anchors used on recreational and commercial boats. He will cover the CQR, Danforth/Fortress, Bruce, Delta and the current crop of roll bar and concave anchors.
September 8-LAYC Staff Commodore and current Transpacific Yacht Club Vice Commodore, David Cort,
He will provide a preview of next year’s Transpac race to Hawaii. Since the last race, the Transpac board has been hard at work to make next year’s race a great one.
September 15-Tristan and Mindy Nyby of La Canada,
They just returned from a sailing adventure to the South Pacific. They did the trip on a 1964 33 ft. CSK Catamaran. It was a memorable trip and they will provide an in depth discussion on cruising as well as show a slide show of their trip.
